7 Important Things To Remember When Betting on Horse
Racing
It never ceases to amaze me, how many people think that betting
on horse racing is all just blind luck. I guess that
would explain why so many people that have tried to bet on
horse racing have failed miserably.
Then you have the other kind of person who thinks the only
people that make money on horse racing are the ones who have
inside information.
For all those people who have lost money on the track, here are
7 important things to remember when betting on the
ponies:
1) Always know what the weather forecast is going to
be. Some horses are notoriously better runners
when its raining, while others are lucky to even make it past
the finish line.
2) Do not think that the older the horse, the slower it
is. Its a common misconception that
some people have, but for the most part there really isn't
that big of a correlation. A lot of it has to do
with the amount of races they have been in.
3) Remember that heavier horses can run as fast, or
even faster than the lighter ones. Colts weigh
more than filies, which would probably mean there is a higher
chance of the colt winning a long distance
race.
4) New blinkers does not necessarily mean the horse
will run any faster. It's really amazing how
many people think that this statement is
false.
5) Always check the pedigree. Almost all
the important information you need is all in the pedigree. It
wouldn't even be a bad idea to buy one of those books, to help
you out.
6)
For lower class races, don't worry too much about
the pedigree. In these kinds of races, for the
most part, it really doesn't
matter.
7)
Don't underestimate the female
jockeys. These days the gals are making a
name for themselves, and rightfully so. Their
win/loss record is just as impressive as many of the male
jockeys.
Hopefully
these tips will help you next time you got to the
track. If you want a little more information, then
check out the horse
racing systems.
One
of the more popular systems is Four the Win, as they have
developed a very respected reputation in the online
betting community.
